Have you been plagued with dodgy tradesmen,well me too.
Living in London perhaps I suffer more than most from the cowboy but some of the worst are ,the divas of the dodgy trademan world ,!
HOW TO AVOID THE MANIAC MADMAN CLOWN!
Well the best way is to ask someone who knows a good tiler plumber or chippy, or to ask another trusted tradesman.
The former is the best way ,the latter ,well it depends if he has been given a bung.
The first thing you should know is that unless you go to a really good company the one man band WILL definitely LET YOU down.
Not perhaps in workmanship but time or ordering materials.
There is no point in moaning about these tradesmen just get used to it and dig deep.
The worst ones will let you down on not just on time, but will gleefully waste your materials then charge more and leave a poor quality amateurish job.
Worst of all will be the Prima Donna who does all this, then isnt man enough to take constructive criticism ,you know ,like,thats pretty shit or even I could do better.
These are the true tossers of the industry,guys who cant get a proper job because they are always causing trouble and have to dodge tax working for themselves out a 12 year old Astra white van that doubles up to take his kids to Mcdonalds on the weekends his wife reluctantly lets him have them.
These divas , EVEN ,if you do pay them in full, just to get them fuck off ,cant cope with the fact that you have voiced your honest opinion,an opinion they never stop giving to others if they are 3 pence short in their change at Lidel when the buy their crate cheap booze.
Your criticism is just another nail in the coffin of self confidence because they could never fill their fathers shoes.
No instead of improving his skills ,trade and social the PD will trawl the internet all night until he wakes up in a pool of his own bad breath drool.

PROTECT YOURSELF
NEVER EVER EVER PAY THEM FOR IT ALL UP FRONT,10% DEPOSIT THEN REASONABLE STAGE PAYMENTS. THE MAN WITH THE MONEY HAS THE CONTROL.
Take a note of their white van reg Nr then run a check here

Also get their home address ,if they wont give it to you,AVOID!
You can trace their home address using their mobile nr but thats not easy or cheap.
Take pictures of their work each day after they have gone home at 2 pm and keep them until you are happy and if you are unhappy stop THE WORK .
If you have their home address you have control and can drop a note to the local tax office,its the
ivas duty report his tax ,not yours.

A good tradesman,in fact any decent business will listen to customer feed back and try to improve,having a big girl hissy fit is never helpful.
